Lewis KIDD Family Genealogy 1772 - Present

Welcome to our KIDD family genealogy site. The purpose of this genealogy is to assist and inform those researching their KIDD ancestors from Blount County, Tennessee, primarily the descendants of LEWIS AND SARAH KIDD, both born circa 1772-1775.
Lewis and Sarah moved from Buckingham County, Virginia to Blount County, Tennessee by 1808 or 1809, and were living in Blount County per the 1840 US Census. Both had passed away by 1850.

The charts used to compile this geneaology were first developed in August, 2000 by Mr. Albert H. Brigance. Copies of the charts were placed in the KIDD Family Files in the Blount County Library, Maryville, Tennessee and the McClung Genealogical Collection in Knoxville, Tennessee. Mr. Brigance has since passed away. Additions and corrections are welcomed.
